The cuteness overflows

We had our second ultrasound appointment with the RE this morning at 7w5d. Not only was snowflake baby's heartbeat going strong at 159bpm, we were able to get a recording of it inside of stuffed animals! Whenever the lamb or elephant is squeezed, we can replay the beautiful heartbeat sound. Can you believe how adorable this idea is? Amazing keepsakes!

And as if this day wasn't special enough,  I was so touched to find this delivered on my porch this morning as a gift from my friend Jess! Crazy cute!


We have our third and final appointment with the RE on Monday, and then I graduate to the OB. My first OB appointment will be on January 9th.

I still can't believe this is really happening!

    I'm so glad your appointment went well. I still have heart beats recorded from both Caleb and this baby. It is the best sound ever :)

    And the ornament is awesome! I sooo love it!

    So exciting! I LOVE the idea of recording a heartbeat in a toy. A forever keepsake, for sure!

      Totally is! Actually, we heard the heartbeat a week ago for the first time, but the RE wanted us to come in again to make sure there wasn't a second baby hiding in there somewhere (and there wasn't.) It was an awesome experience to see that heart beating away again. We never saw it with the previous pregnancies so it's been an awe inspiring experience!

    Oh Liz what a beautiful update! I absolutely love the heartbeat in the stuffed animal! How did you do that? I want to have one made for my next little one.

      There is a little electronic heart inside of the stuffed animal that can record sounds. The ultrasound tech held it up to the machine when the heartbeat was playing and captured it. Now, when the animal is squeezed, it plays. So awesome! Merry Christmas to you too!
